http://airshow-magazin.de/airtoair/harvard Year 5 have been investigating a crime scene this week! We were asked to test a powder found at the scene of the crime, to see if it matched any powders found in 6 different rooms here at school! That’s right we had 6 suspects! After collecting lots of scientific evidence and producing a police report, Year 5 believe they know who commited the crime!!!!!!!!

Welcome back to school year 5. I hope you all had a lovely summer holiday and are ready for the new school year!

Please note that P.E days are Wednesdays and Fridays (At the moment children need full P.E kit as indoor/outdoor P.E is dependent on the weather ) Earrings should not be worn during P.E and please ensure that long hair is always tied back.

All children have been given a Homework diary in which they can collect their reading credits (100 means that the children choose a book to keep)

In year 5 children are expected to read at least 3 times a week at home. They have been given a reading book and a library book.

Homework will be given out every Wednesday and needs to be handed back in on a Wednesday please. This will be given on a slip or recorded in homework diaries. (For project work/art etc a longer time may be given)
I run a homework club every lunchtime 12-12.30 in which the children can make use of the topic books and computers to complete their homework in their lunch time if they wish.

Our new topic for this term is Ancient Greece, which the children are really enjoying already. Particularly finding out about the hideous mythical creatures.

If you have any questions please do not hesistate to come and see any of the Year 5 team,

Thank you,

Mrs Carass
